Pickett Hosting Senior Scam Seminar in Sayre April 25

SAYRE – In her continuing effort to educate older residents about the latest scams and how to protect themselves, Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Wyoming) is hosting a senior scam seminar on Friday, April 25, in Sayre. The free event will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. at Sons and Daughters of Italy, 301 Desmond St.

“Scammers often prey on seniors, constantly finding new methods to take their hard-earned money,” said Pickett. “Our free events offer a practical way to help them avoid falling victim to these schemes.”

The seminar will be led by George Dillman, investor education coordinator with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. His presentation will focus on popular scams and how to avoid them, including cryptocurrency fraud. Light refreshments will be provided.
